MEDITATION iv
Guided Buddhist meditation to scan the body. It gives instructions on bringing awareness to bodily sensations. For the most part this exercise is relaxing. Occasionally practitioners initially feel uncomfortable with this exercise. If it becomes overwhelmingly distressing, merely distract or direct attention to something outside your body until you are more comfortable with the exercise at another time.

Mind & Life Institute | Dialogue Viewing
The Mind and Life Dialogues began in 1987 as a joint quest between scientists, philosophers and contemplatives to investigate the mind, develop a more complete understanding of the nature of reality, and promote well-being on the planet. Originally small, private dialogues with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and a few scientists and scholars, the Mind and Life Dialogues have since grown to include large public conferences that have embraced a variety of poignant, contemporary topics and questions including Physics and Cosmology, Neuroplasticity, Destructive Emotions, Education, Altruism, Economics and Ethics. To view the series of dialogues on the Contemplative Sciences, The Scientific Study of the Effect of Contemplative Practice on Human Biology and Behaviour, please go to http://www.mindandlife.org/dialogues/
